About

Log Still Distillery is a destination-style bourbon campus in Gethsemane, Kentucky, where whiskey, family history, live entertainment, lodging, and event hospitality all come together on one sprawling property. Set on historic distilling land in southern Nelson County, the campus feels more like a full Kentucky getaway than a quick tasting-room stop, with a working distillery, guided tours, a tasting room, The Amp outdoor concert venue, The Legacy event venue, and on-site stays surrounded by rolling countryside. It is home to the Monk’s Road line of Kentucky bourbons and gins, along with other spirits connected to the Dant family’s modern chapter. For travelers, Log Still stands out because you can build an entire day or weekend around it. Tour the distillery, enjoy a tasting, catch a concert, stay on property, or plan a wedding or group event in a scenic bourbon-country setting.

History

Log Still Distillery’s modern story is rooted in the Dant family, one of Kentucky bourbon’s most recognizable family names. The project was founded by J.W. “Wally” Dant, who set out to bring distilling back to old family-connected ground in Gethsemane and create a destination that honored the past while giving the property a completely new future. Rather than building only a production facility, the team developed a larger campus around bourbon, hospitality, music, events, and overnight stays, turning Log Still into one of the most ambitious destination distillery projects in Kentucky. The brand’s story is closely tied to family, faith, community, and a sense of return, with the campus designed to feel like a place where old stories and new memories can live side by side.

Notoriety

Log Still Distillery is best known for changing the expectations of what a Kentucky bourbon stop can be. Instead of centering everything around a standard tour, the campus layers together whiskey, live music, lodging, private events, and countryside views in a way that feels more like a resort-style bourbon destination. The Amp is one of its biggest claims to fame, giving visitors a reason to return for nationally recognized concerts and outdoor entertainment in a setting most distilleries simply do not offer. The Legacy also adds to the property’s reputation, positioning Log Still as a serious event and wedding destination with a chapel, reception spaces, and scenic surroundings.
